Invites, Men's Rentals, Rehearsal Dinner

There is only a HALF A YEAR until your big day! Just WOAH!

At 6 months, we will be discussing:

Ordering the Invites & Save The Dates

Men's Rentals

Rehearsal Dinner Planning

At this time you should be placing orders for the Invites & Save the Dates. Typically you send Save the Dates 4 months in advance for local weddings. Ordering your save the date this month should be plenty of time for your invites & save the dates to get you and for you to proof read them before sending them to your friends and family. I have listed some contact information for a local printing company (I will be sure to add more as I come across them) :

The groom should be finding a place for him to either rent or buy the tux/suit he will be wearing on his big day too. At this time he should also be in contact with his groomsmen for their apparel as well. Here are some tips for choosing your wedding attire :

Coordinate with your Fiance. At least for color matching so you do not clash with other details of your big day.

Get inspired prior to your appointment. Pinterest is your new best friend, find a few styles you like and come to your appointment with that idea to help the consultant find your perfect look.

Go in with a budget that you know you can spend.

Check reviews on local shops.

Get the suit/tux tailored.

Read the fine print. ALWAYS read the fine print.

The last thing I have for Month 6 is to figure out who will be planning and paying for the venue and food for the Rehearsal Dinner. Traditionally the Groom's parents pay for this, but some couples pay for it themselves. If you are one of those couples I would recommend to start saving up for this now and to plan what kind of dinner you will be choosing.
