Thinking of a cool fall wedding, the end of September should be fine, but boy we were wrong, and this Saturday was HOT. But guess what? So was this Bride. Holy Toledo!
I was lucky enough to take engagement photos for Allison and Damien several months ago, she was beautiful then, even next to the Cincinnati skyline. Seeing her to the 10s on her wedding day was a privilege because she is nothing short of flawless, and when you see how Damien looked at her you could tell he knew it too.
This nature driven couple’s love story is so cute. They knew they were meant to be while on a get away to hocking hills, despite the trees, they paid more attention to each other, ultimately ignoring the waterfalls choosing instead to fall for each other. Damien gave Allison the surprise of her life when he unexpectedly proposed to her in a cabin down in Tennessee on their yearly trip, then we got to enjoy a lush golf course for a welcoming venue to seal their love in matrimony.
They day started nervous as Damien didn’t like to be the center of attention, nor did Allison but they knew they’d make it through having each other, and they did. Jitters fell away the moment they saw each other, there was no fumbling over the vows and they looked picture perfect.
They reminded me a lot of my husband Stephen and myself with their easy banter, and love for outdoors, making the day feel familiar and filling me with a warm reminder that sweet natural love is all around. Thank you to Allison and Damien for giving me another opportunity to capture your adventures side-by-side with my husband as my assistant. It's couples like you that remind me why I fell in love with this job in the first place.
